1. Create your presence here by claiming your Blasterous Business page and uploading a logo or image of your business. From your Blasterous Business Page, you can post blasts which will be visible to prospective customers ; either through our website or mobile application. (Tip: if you have one, you should always include your company website address which will help your website rank higher in search engines.)
2. Tap into other networks you may have by linking your Blasterous Business Page to your Facebook account (if you have one). This will allow all public blasts to auto-post to your Facebook wall; sharing your messages with your friends and extending your Blasterous reach.
3. Invite your customers, friends, family, co-workers etc, to connect with your Blasterous Business Page.  Your invitation will let everyone know where they can go to receive real-time blasts from your business.
4. Start posting Blasts from your computer or smart phone.  While there is no limit to how many blasts you can post a day, you should be thoughtful about blast frequency as too many blasts could potentially cause irritation and message fatigue with your following. (Tip: Blasts can be anything from helpful tips like this one to changes in store hours; from a daily deal to sharing some local news or event information.)

Today we are happy to finally announce the release of Blasterous mobile app for Android. This app is identical to the same version iPhone app our users have been using for the past few weeks. This release is big for us as many of our users have been eagerly awaiting its release. Our apologies to our Android users for the delay; we were working feverishly on it. Now that the base line app is built, extending it (as well as the iPhone version) will be much simpler. This will allow us to do more frequent releases and over a much shorter period of time.

Many thanks to our Android app expert who single handedly (literally) squashed the major “show stopper” bugs, resolved a few user experience issues and ultimately got the app across the goal line and into the hands of our users. Great job!

Blasterous rolled out a very simple, yet impactful feature to its site; the ability for Facebook users to “Like” specific blasts or business profiles of interest. This feature is available on all public blasts and business profile pages; so you don’t have to be a Blasterous user to share content you like with your Facebook friends and family.

Today we released version 1.2 of our iPhone app.  It includes many desired enhancements, along with some bug fixes.  In this release we added user name and thumbnails in blast comments, added blast location on the detail page and improved GPS accuracy.

Last week we quietly rolled out a pretty significant update to the Blasterous suite of services – Blasterous Business Pages. With this release, businesses can add or claim (if already included in our list of approx. 15M business) their business to the Blasterous network.

Business pages function much like regular profiles in that businesses can blast to their local area, connect with users of the site, share images and create private lists. How they differ, is that verified businesses appear on the city page of their respective venue under “Verified Businesses”, their business is listed at the top of the directory and businesses will benefit from many customer relationship and lead generation tools soon to be released.

A Blasterous business page is a great alternative, even replacement, for a dedicated website. The obvious benefits of a Blasterous business page are that there are no hosting or development costs, no maintenance and no need for a content management system.

Blasterous pages help people locate businesses through search, word of mouth (social mentions) or by browsing the area in which a business resides. Blasterous pages are SEO optimized for search engine indexing, so blasts reach far beyond the Blasterous site.

After completing a simple single page registration, businesses can start blasting their message to existing customers or find new customers living, working or visiting the area.
